About the Staff

Ellie Austin, Director of Education: Ellie was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. In 2018 she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BA in Theatre with highest departmental honors. She is a proud UTC Honors College/Brock Scholar alumna. Ellie spent time teaching and directing in Chattanooga Christian School’s award-winning theatre program before coming to the Tivoli Theatre Foundation. She loves every bit of theatre from performance to design to marketing and everything in between! She’s so excited to lead Chattanooga’s next generation of theatre artists at Camp Broadway this summer!

Rileigh Timmerman has lived in Chattanooga for ten years and has immersed herself in the dance and arts community around her. She has been dancing for 18 years and her experience ranges from competitive dance to teaching and choreography. Rileigh is now a rising senior at Fordham University in New York City earning her BFA degree in Dance at The Ailey School by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. As a competitive dancer in high school, Rileigh earned several national titles and now teaches and choreographs for local dance studios on her breaks from school. She has a passion for dance and its ability to communicate in such expressive and emotional ways. That passion for dance led her to discover musical theater as another beautiful form of storytelling and hopes to share that passion with others and facilitate its growth in the minds of the Chattanooga community.

Mary Catherine Schimpf grew up with a passion for the arts! She majored in music at Covenant College, and made her directorial debut there for her senior project (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.) Since 2005, she has been directing the Theatre Department at Chattanooga Christian School, directing and choreographing musicals and plays, teaching acting classes, and coaching improv teams. Her work as director/choreographer has been recognized at the Nashville Musical Theatre Spotlight Awards, most recently Crazy For You (Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Musical). She enjoys directing, choreographing, teaching and consulting in the community, and is a Holmberg Arts Leadership Institute graduate.
